Professional Communication support Service for deaf people who first language is English. Suitable for education, business, health and conference settings.
CACDP qualified, NRCPD registered, freelance Electronic Notetaker. Based in Glasgow, with nationwide availability.
Electronic Notetaking is a real-time reporting service which gives deaf and hard of hearing people equal access to meetings via speech displayed as
text on a laptop screen. Using shorthand software, the notetaker transcribes all verbal communication onto a laptop, and the summarised text simultaneously appears on the client’s laptop. For conferences and seminars, the text can be linked to a projector screen to enable larger audiences to follow proceedings. A copy of the transcript can be provided at the end of the meeting.
I also undertake electronic notetaking in the private sector for professionals who require an objective, comprenhensive transcript of focus groups, seminars and tribunals.
